At first glance, this lounge chair just screams comfort. Designed by Ukrainian studioODESD2, the Q1 lounge chair’s shape is inspired by Richard Buckminster Fuller’s spherical thin-shell structure, which is used for creating geodesic domes.

Its dome-shape can hold heavy weights, while still staying visually light. The faceted exterior is pleasing to the eye, and reminds me a bit of the hard shell of a turtle. Inside, sitters are embraced by a soft, chenille upholstery that’s packed with an environmentally friendly filling.
